PhotoShoot

The second challenge for this month on the WijDUS blog was a sketch...a tough one, I think, but that's personal! Most of the times I work with one or two pictures, now I had to use four...and a lot of circles! Because the pictures I used were so full of dots and curls, I decided to use only pink and black cardstock and no patterned papers. I added some bling-bling and some extra dots & doodles. I'm not completely satisfied about the results...I think I could have done better! But once I've started working on a layout and notice it is not going the way I intended I just keep on trying to make 'something' out of it...

This was the sketch:

And this is my layout:

A vision of beauty

This is my entry on the challenge at Scrappassion . For this challenge you had to use pink and green and bling!
The background is Kracking Kiwi from the Spring Fling-collection of Blonde Moments. I used a Tim Holtz-mask (flourish) which I sprayed with glimmermist, just behind the opening in the pink paper, because it was a bit boring without it. The pink paper is from the Pulse Collection of Prima. The title-word Vision is chipboard covered with pink glitterpowder and the word Beauty is covered with silver glitterpaper. Both words are finished with paperglaze, not only to complete 'the bling' but also to make sure the glitter stays in place!
I stamped the swirls with some clearstamps and completed 'the bling' using my hotfix to add a lot of rhinestones.
Sorry for the flash in the first picture...although it highlights the bling a little bit!

I hope you like it!

Sweet SANDsations

This is my entry for the challenge on the blog WijDUS. The challenge was simple..just use a picture with sun, sand or sea and express your summerfeeling!
I used a picture of Laura, who was playing in the sand and experiencing the feeling of sand slipping through her little fingers and over her legs. She had so much fun!
The paper is from 3 Bugs in a Rug, one of their newest papercollections, called Simple Pleasures...which makes me think now that that could have been a great title for my layout as well...The sand-letters are made with a mix of glue and sand.

I hope you like it!

Swedish wildlife

For the first time I created three layouts in one style...just because I thought that would be fun!
It all started with the challenge on ScrapbookNederland for which I had to scrap a picture of an animal (no cats and dogs allowed!) and I had to use cardboard from a box as a background.
A perfect challenge for me: I like working with cardboard and I made a lot of pictures of mooses in Sweden, during our holiday!
But while I was working on my Moose-layout I thought about the canvas-pictures in my livingroom with a muskox and a wolf on it. These pictures were made in the north of Sweden..not by me unfortunately, but the photograhper didn't mind to give me a copy of his files. And these pictures were also perfect for my scraplayouts..so why not make three in a row?!
I decided to combine the layouts with my DT-work for MeluDistribution and used the Café Culture-papercollection from Kaisercraft with the coordinating brads.

So these are the results:

This is the one I like the most, so this is going to be my entry for the challenge:

I also used glimmermist (colour: Twilight, great product and from now on I'm totally addicted to glimmermist!) on the background and I also sprayed this on the flowers. I used distress ink on the flowers as well.
For the moose-layout I used glimmermist in the colour Forrest Green and it was exactly the right colour to match the photo.
For the third layout I used a picture of a wolf. But I had a hard time thinking of the right title!
Enough sites on the internet with scrapbooking page titles but none of them seemed to have titles for wild animals...
I hope you like them!
After all this nature and wild animals I'm feeling an urge to scrap with a lot of funky colours and colourful pictures so hope to show you 'my summerfeeling' soon!

Just you.

I thought it was time to make a layout about my son this time, after all those mini-albums and layouts about my daughters. I think a lot of you would agree if I tell you that it is so much easier to make a girl-layout than a boy-layout!
For this layout I used the Saturday-sketch at the Kaisercraft blog. I didn't turn it around or change a lot, it was just perfect the way it was.
I used the Skull Boi-papercollection from Kaisercraft. Just like the girl-collection it is very easy to work with. You don't need a lot of extra's like ribbon and embellishments. I only used the coordinating brads and some black cardstock to finish the layout.

Have a nice day!

Mini-album Skull Girl

I just finished another Kaisercraft mini-album. I was lots of fun working on it, although it had a lot of curves and difficult edges which took some extra time...and patience!
I used some great pictures of my daughter, which I made during the photoshoot some weeks ago. This girl rocks and the pictures prove it!
I used the coordinating Skull Girl papercollection from Kaisercraft, with the coordinating brads and some flowers and rhinestones. The shoelace is from my own supplies.

Hope you like it!

Back from Sweden.

A couple of days ago we returned from our summerholiday in Sweden.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and our first time camping (with 3 kids) didn't live up to our expectations, but still we had a great time! We have seen a lot of south-east Sweden, a part which we hadn't visited before in our favorite country.
We made a lot of pictures...of course, what else would you expect with a scrapbooking mom?!...so I have plenty of nice pictures to use on my layouts the next months.
Here are some pre-views!

Borgholms Slott on Öland:

One of my 'friends':

This is why I love Sweden so much...Great views!

Father and daughter watching the sea:

Nobody would believe me if I tell you these two argue so much...

And lots of ice-cream!! This is only one of many ice-cream-pictures...

I didn't scrap for two weeks but I have done so much thinking and collected a lot of new inspiration...Can't wait to start scrapping again!!

Blogcandy...from Norway!

One of the scrappers I admire a lot is giving away some blogcandy, because she has had 50.000 visitors on her blog! What an achievement!
But no wonder...she makes such great things!!! Her name is Vibeke and you will miss a lot of inspiration if you don't check her blog every day. This is her blogcandy:
