Sketchy Thursdays GDT #4: u R YOUnique

Yes, I know...no blogupdate during a whole week here! That doesn't mean I haven't been scrapping...on the contrary...I scrapped one layout, two cards and pimped a chocolatebox...only I can't show you yet. I wish I could because I'm so happy about how they turned out!! I can give you a hint though: it's all about frogs and a prince...
Another thing that makes me very happy is my son and the layout beneath is all about him. It is a layout I made for my GDT-spot at Sketchy Thursdays..the last one already..snif...I loved to work with these girls and I'm kind of sad that my GDT-membership there has ended now.
This was the sketch:
I had a hard time with this sketch and had to start over again and again...the third attempt succeeded!
I used my Bella Blvd papers for this one. I so love these papers and as soon as I can get my hands on the newest collections...I will!!! I love all those tiny text tags and stickers! I love the colors and I love the patterns. I think they made Bella Blvd just for me....
Well, here is my layout:

I hope you like it too!

Sketchy Thursday GDT #3: Beauty in bloom.

For the third challenge as a GDT at Sketchy Thursdays I made a layout filled with quilled flowers. It was a technique I had used one time before for the challenge at Scrappassion, where I quilled some snowflakes. I wanted to do it again and searched the internet for some inspiration. Thanks to the great blog of Inna Dorman I found lots of inspiration to make the following layout:

I took me a lot of time and patience to create it but I'm so happy I did it! It turned out great and I'm so satisfied with this one!!!
The little roses are made of cardstock. The title was printed on cardstock first and than cut out by hand, simply because I don't have a Cricut or another die-cut machine...
I hope I have inspired you enough to try some quilling too!

Some sneek peaks!

Yes, I've been busy with lots of scrapping lately...but unfortunately I cannot show you yet!
I made three layouts, all for GDT-'work' and I'm so happy how they turned out.
So I'm gonna give you a sneek peak....Enjoy and I'm sorry if it makes you curious.....NOT!

Saturday Sketches at Kaisercraft

Each Saturday there is a sketchchallenge at Kaisercraft, since recently for both traditional scrappers as for digital scrappers. You will find a sketch and a digital template. This week you can even choose between two traditional sketches.
The digital templates itself will be made by the digital DT each week. This week Leah created the template and I loved working with it.
Here is my layout:
I used a picture of my parents on their weddingday. They will be married for 45 years soon. Such a great accomplishment! I used the Amour digital kit, one of my favorites.

Two times AMOUR!

A new digital kit at Kaisercraft, one of my favourites! It is the Amour collection, filled with pretty roses, earthy linen textures, buttons, velvet flowers, raffia twine, beautiful ‘rub on’ quotes, and stitching elements.
I made two layouts with this collection and used my own weddingpictures for these. Working with those pictures made me feel like my wedding was yesterday instead of almost 15 years ago...What can I say? Time flies by when you're having fun!!
Here they come:

Need more inspiration? Go check out the Kaisercraft blog! All the DT ladies did such great work with this wonderful collection. Prepare to be amazed!

Second Chance Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays

Another layout for Sketchy Thursdays for the Second Chance Challenge. This time I had to use a digital stamp from their sponsor and the sketch of course. Here is the sketch:
And here is my layout:

It is a digital layout with the Friday Night Jive kit from Kaisercraft. I also added some elements from other digital kits. As soon as I saw this digital stamp of Shopping Kaylee I knew what picture to use for my layout.
I have also used this picture of Danique quite recently, I know, but it is one of my favorites.

My debut as a GUEST DT at Sketchy Thursdays!!

It is finally there! This is what you have all been voting for some time ago! My debut as a Guest Design Team member at Sketchy Thursdays. During the complete month of February I will be their guest..and I love it!!!
Today is the first sketch-challenge of February. This is the sketch:
And this is my take on the sketch:

After the vintage layout last time for the GDT-challenge I wanted to do something completely different...so I did a freestyle layout!

I used paint and stamped the word 'Fun!' on some painterstape.I saw this in a dutch scrapbookmagazine on a layout of Peter van Tilburg. I so love his style of scrapping! The fun part is the jeans..My son came home from school with torn jeans at the day I was working on my layout. Instead of repairing his jeans I cut it in pieces and used these to mat the pictures. I just sew the pictures on the fabric and distressed the fabric with my scissors. I also cut off the designerlabel on the back of his jeans and stitched it under one of the pictures. I found a designertag of Wrangler in my supplies which matched perfectly and put it under the other picture. The letters in the title were also in my supplies..waiting for this layout probably, because I had forgotten I had them! The plastic spider came from some Halloween-clothes of my daughter. I finished the layout with MuddPuddles (a mix of sand and glue) and some die-cuts from Kaisercraft's Rewind collection.
I love how it all came together in one layout that day! I love freestyle!

Please go over to the Sketchy Thursdays-blog and see the layouts of the other DT-members. It would be great if you would join us in the challenge!!

One Word Each Week: week 1 - 4 !

I started my One Word Each Week mini-album this year. Each week I scrap one word that describes something that happened that week. I decided not to scrap in one theme but just pick a word at the end of the week.
I already made the front and the back of the album in December:
(Read more about it here.)

Now I would like to show you the pages for week 1 till week 4.

Week 1:

Week 2:

Week 3:

Week 4:

(Sorry for the blurry faces on this picture, but I did that..of course..because of the privacy of the kids in the picture!)
So far, I enjoy making these little scraplayouts every week. Let's hope it will stay this way!
