It is finally there! This is what you have all been voting for some time ago! My debut as a Guest Design Team member at
Sketchy Thursdays. During the complete month of February I will be their guest..and I love it!!!
Today is the first sketch-challenge of February. This is the sketch:
And this is my take on the sketch:
After the vintage layout last time for the GDT-challenge I wanted to do something completely different...so I did a freestyle layout!
I used paint and stamped the word 'Fun!' on some painterstape.I saw this in a dutch scrapbookmagazine on a layout of
Peter van Tilburg. I so love his style of scrapping! The fun part is the jeans..My son came home from school with torn jeans at the day I was working on my layout. Instead of repairing his jeans I cut it in pieces and used these to mat the pictures. I just sew the pictures on the fabric and distressed the fabric with my scissors. I also cut off the designerlabel on the back of his jeans and stitched it under one of the pictures. I found a designertag of Wrangler in my supplies which matched perfectly and put it under the other picture. The letters in the title were also in my supplies..waiting for this layout probably, because I had forgotten I had them! The plastic spider came from some Halloween-clothes of my daughter. I finished the layout with MuddPuddles (a mix of sand and glue) and some die-cuts from Kaisercraft's Rewind collection.
I love how it all came together in one layout that day! I love freestyle!
Please go over to the Sketchy Thursdays-blog and see the layouts of the other DT-members. It would be great if you would join us in the challenge!!
