Digital layouts: Med vänliga hälsningar!

This week I have been busy making digital layouts...hours and hours of work! Result: 32 digital layouts with the best of the 600 pictures we made during our holiday in Sweden. I am now busy ordering an album with all these layouts in print. It will take probably one or two weeks before I have it in my hands. I will not bother you with all my 32 layouts here, but of course I will show some of them:

I used two sets of digital templates, designed by Kitty Designs. I added some digital embellishments and papers from my stash. They come from different kits, old and new.

CHA 2010: Sassafras Mix & Mend !

I have never worked with Sassafras papers before, but I think that is going to change soon! I have always loved the bright colors in thier collections but I have never known what to begin with all the busy patterns. While I was reading Traci Hudson's blog I saw the new collection 'Mix & Mend' and I completely fell in love!
Look at this:

And there is more on the Sassafras blog!
Go check it out here, also if you would like to win a Mix & Mend package.
What do you think? Is it gorgeous or what?

Back from Sweden!

We spent the last two weeks in Sweden for our summerholiday. Yesterday we came back to Holland, feeling a little bit sad that we had to wait another year before we could go there again...We had such a great time, we just didn't want to go home!
I didn't scrap at all but I caught up on reading..1200 pages of Stieg Larssons Millenium-books, part two and three. It felt so good to crawl up in a little corner (or just laying in the grass) with my book and pretend I'm not there...In my normal daily life I just don't have the time to read. Mostly I prefer to scrap.
We made almost 600 photos, which means lots of new layouts to come!
Right now I'm catching up on my emails, all my favorite blogs and messageboards.
I will leave you with some of my favorite pictures:

TCR#13: Beauty in bloom.

Has it been already six days ago since I blogged?! Yes..I have been doing lazy things the last few days! Taking naps in the afternoon, I have seen some movies (Toy Story 3 and Killers..loved the first!!), doing nothing, etc. But of course, I wouldn't dare to skip a color palette in The Color Room ...although I'm sure I'm gonna miss next weeks palette...can't help it...
Here is this week's color palette:
And here is my layout:

As you can see...a whole lot of handcutting on this one!
I used the Love & Cherish collection from Imaginisce, cut out most of the patterns and flowers and arranged these on some pink cardstock. I also added some bling bling.
I edited the picture of Laura first in Photoshop. The original picture has a green and blue background...very pretty but not suitable for this layout. So I changed the picture to black and white and only left Laura and her sweater in color. How fun is that, right?
Here are some more details:

I printed the title first and cut it out by hand afterwards. Who needs a Cricut?? All you need is a lot of patience...

I layered some flowers that were already printed on the first layer by adding some extra flowers and using some foam tape.

TFL!!
